Can - pours a light amber - many beers of this style seem to go the straightforward approach and make an assertively hoppy pale lager - as the description on the can states, this is an “ipa-style lager,” which seems to mean it’s got a more ipa-like malt bill and is fermented with a lager yeast - this results in a far more malt-forward and sweet beer - not that there is anything wrong with that, it’s just not what I’m hoping for in an IPL - I mean, they’ve accomplished what they set out to do, I think - tastes like Victory Hop Devil as a lager.

From Beer Drop. No date on the can.
It pours a mostly clear amber with a healthy head of foam though it does shrink quickly.
Smells of toasted malt, some fruity notes, kinda sweet but also dry.
Toasted malt, grainy, semi sweet, some bread, weird finish. Ashy?
Good mouthfeel.
Some good notes here, some, or at least 1, not so good.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear, orange color, with a medium, fizzy, beige head. The aroma is caramel, cardamom, juniper berries, marigold, and bread. Sweet and yeasty, with a pleasant, mellow bitterness. Light body, with a clean, syrupy palate. This is a delicious and easy marzen. Nice.

Pour is a dark chestnut brown with a small white head. Aroma is a pretty good roasted nuts with a touch of chocolate. Flavor is is cocoa powder with roasted malt goodness. As fas a dunkel' s go this is way above par. Lots of roasty and nutty goodness.

Pour is a clear hazy gold with a white fizzy head and lots of bubbles. Aroma is biscuity malt. Flavor is light sweet malt and a grassy herbal hop. Not somethings that is going to wow you but something you could drink a lot of.

On tap at Beasts & Brews. Pours a slightly murky, straw color, with a medium, frothy, beige head. The nose is lavender, papaya, wet cardboard, and dough. Dry and dusty, with a sharp, assertive bitterness. Light body, with a crisp, sticky palate. This is an assertive and hoppy lager, but still light and sharp.

12 oz. can purchased at Molly's Spirits in Lakeside, CO. Thanks G-unit! Pours a cloudy bronze color with a thick khaki head and great retention. Great lacing. Floral hops aroma. The flavor matches the nose. Floral hops flavor dominates. The 76 IBU are more mellow than expected. This is just another pale ale IMHO. The 7.0% ABV is well hidden.

12 oz. can purchased at Molly's Spirits in Lakeside, CO. Thanks G-unit! Pours a clear light gold color with a white head and very good retention. Good lacing. Soft grainy lager and lemon aroma. More raspberry flavor than lemon. A good blend of flavors without being too sweet or too tart. Light and very refreshing. Well done.

12 oz. can purchased at Molly's Spirits in Lakeside, CO. Thanks G-unit! Pours a clear very dark garnet color with a small beige head and poor retention. xxxx lacing. More vanilla aroma than anything else. The flavor is more chocolate than vanilla, with a charred malts finish. Low carbonation. Really easy drinking. the 7.5% ABV is well hidden. Not quite as flavorful as I hoped, but still very good.
