Not sure about this as has a real yang to it. Not convinced the beer was off but bar staff insisted it was correct. Not a fan

500ml can, nice to see Marble canning the trad styles as well now. Pours a deep ruby/brown with a dense beige head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, slightly nutty, dried fruits. Taste is the same, very malty, good depth of flavour for the style and strength, caramel, dried fruits, chocolate, slightly nutty, light bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very good.

Backlog. Orangeish golden colour wtih a mediumsized white head. Aroma is floral, citrusy, some zesty tones with mild caramel and a bit biscuity elements too. Flavour is biscuity, some floral, mild nectary, zesty and citrusy tones with mild resin and wood to it as well.

A Manchester beer to celebrate a city institution - the Hallé orchestra was formed in 1857. My Kölsch tune which I've noted before on here, is that it is not one of my favoured styles despite five previous drinking visits to Cologne, and I have not changed my mind with this. Bland despite a crisp dryish drinkability.

Red ale with more of a west coast styling appearance, it does have a hoppy red ale taste though. Relatively easy textured, but full-bodied. The beer name
threw Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick In The Wall' into my mind, which was number one on the first day of the 1980's.

Dark clear brown coloured brew. Stollen is supposed to represent baby Jesus wrapped in swaddling. The stollen influence is heavy, with dense cake notes not reaching sweet levels. It's tasty enough though, and a little boozy too. Fair Christmas seasonal.
