Amber, no head. This has a nice fruity aroma, apricot. On the palate, it has a nice bitterness, piney, bright citrus. The malts are a bit heavy, but the hops are bright and tasty.

On tap at rbwg pours a hazy straw color topped with a white head. Nose is sour funk some light fruit notes barrel and plenty grapes. Taste is more of the funky sour grape notes and a oak barrel presents.

Poured up at Ratebeer Best 2017 Beer Fest where it exhibits a dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin mocha colored head. The aroma offers up nice earthy coffee notes that border on being rich and indulgent. It’s kind of dark roasted coffee and burnt malts and a nice layer of dark roasted malts. The taste delivers smoothness with dark roasted malts and dark roasted coffee. The coffee gets a little richer and a touch oily to midway. It kind of stays that way right into the finish. Pretty nice easy drinking Imperial Stout that pulls out a bit of chocolate every now and then too.

Poured up at Ratebeer Best 2017 Beer Fest where it exhibits a kind of opaque mahogany colored body that has copper hues and supports a near white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up spicy oak blended with a touch of molasses and a faint hoppiness that seems a bit pine like. The taste delivers loads of spicy kind of woodsy oaky notes that are integrated well with smooth malts and sort of a quick dash of molasses. It then gets into hoppy notes of pine, tart pineapple and an almost lime like sensation. This is a pretty nice sipper.

Poured up at Ratebeer Best 2017 Beer Fest where it exhibits a near clear deep gold body that has copper hues blended into a bit of haziness and supporting a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up mild pineapple notes, a bit of grapefruit, kind of little bit of danky spicy hops and then a hop grassiness. Nice. The taste delivers kind of a sliver of pine hop bitterness and then bitter grapefruit and pineapple that gets somewhat juicy to midway. A few more sips reveals how well balanced this is for a ‘sink your teeth into it’ resiny bitter hop brew. Nice.

Poured up at Ratebeer Best 2017 Beer Fest where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a tan head of foam. The mild aroma offers pine, some grapefruit and then kind of faint spicy hoppiness. The taste delivers sort of smooth yet bitter and resiny pine hops with an undercurrent of citrus hoppy grapefruit and then just a dash of orange and tangelo like juiciness. To midway it picks up a bit of spicy hoppiness helping to give this another tasty facet. Pretty solid easy drinking IPA.
