Interesting mix. Gooseberries really add a different angle to this. Pours creamy black with great lacing and head. Aroma of berries and dark chocolate. Carbonation a little below average but great for style. Finishes bitter but good overall balance here. Just lacks on palate. If this were regular stout it would be top notch. Tap at bar hop.

I’m a sucker for guava because I have a passion for the fruit. Nonetheless, I think it overtakes the pale ale feel in this and leaves the beer a little too sour. Maybe if they used those small, sweet Mexican strawberry guavas? In any case a noble effort that needs only a little fine-tuning. Tap at Rhino winterfest.

The friends bring the party with this beer. Well-balanced mix. And yes, thats my word of the month. Aromas of vanilla, dark chocolate, roast malt. Taste bitter and sour. A little below average carbonation. Good package. I feel the oats as well. Tap at Rhino winterfest.

All kinds of surprises here. Aroma has cinnamon from initial smell. Also nut and light malt. Tastes bitter with light sourness. This is nose heavy and promises a lot with initial aroma but doesn’t quite follow through. Pours dark with medium lacing. Mid to high carbonation. On tap at Bar Hop.

Draught at Barhop, Toronto
Amber color with creamy head. Vulgar aroma, some bread, caramel and light puke. Dry caramel flavor, with a dusty edge; ordinary bitterness. Not the right malt profile to be an Alt. Quite boring.
