Bottle: Poured a gold color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh citrusy hoppy notes with hints of tropical fruits with nice floral undertones. Taste is a mix of citrusy notes with some floral undertones and hints of tropical fruit notes with some residual sugar and light bitterness. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well done and quite enjoyable thought maybe not ass juicy as I was expecting.

Keg at Noctem, Québec City. Cloudy copper colour, small head. Spicy caramel aroma. Mid sweet with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and honey, white pepper and grapefruit. Resiny bitter finish. Not as harmonious as the better barley wines are. Too much caramel and resin.

Keg at Noctem, Québec City. Very dark brown, small head. Tobacco, pine and licorice up front. Mid dry with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Resinous caramel, butter and pine. Really bitter finish. Very hoppy for the style. Lacking the malt depth needed for a beer this size.
