500 ml bottle, bb 06 Feb 17, bought at the brewery.
Amber, clear body, with a big, creamy, lacing, yellowish head.
Aroma of bread, flowers, caramel, some grains, slight grass.
Tastes of bread, caramel, flowers, some hay, slight grass.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bready, moderate sweet, a bit dry, floral, a bit grassy, slightly herbal.
Nice one. Quaffable and well balanced, with nice bready and floral notes throughout and enough sweetness. Not on par with their Märzen overall, I’m missing some more character, but still an above average style example.

Only beer on tap at Bräustubl Tavern at Mühl, Augustinergasse, Salzburg. Beer not visible due to ceramic mugs. Grainy and malty, some caramel, very drinkable, lacks body, but has a sweet finish. Fresh and light. Good märzen, interesting place.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours slightly hazy amber with stable white head. Mild aroma of malt, with faint notes of yeast and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with pronounced estery notes and touches of malt. Bitterish and estery aftertaste. A little watery but not unenjoyable and consumed in a nice place.

Comprada en la cerveceria / bier garten de Salzburgo. Espuma abundante, cremosa y duradera. Color pajizo pálido. Ligeramente turbia. Aroma a dulce malta. Sabor redondo, equilibrio perfecto dulce (caramelo) y amargo. Extraordinaria e boca. Excelente.

Vom Faß im Bamkraxler-Biergarten, Wien. - Orangegold, leicht trüb; sahniger weißer Schaum. - Antrunk mild hefig und unerwartet frisch orangenfruchtig. Nicht platt malzsüß, aber mit zarter Honigsüße. Durchschnittlich rezent, schlank; dank leicht mineralischer Qualität enorm süffig. Abgang mild fruchtig mit zart grasiger Hopfenherbe. Milder aber ausreichend bitterer Nachtrunk. - Ausgezeichnetes Lager mit überdurchschnittlichen Malz- und Hopfenwerten.

Tapped from wooden barrel at the monastery brewpub, multiple times throughout the years. Golden, moderately hazy body, with a big, frothy, lacing, white head. Aroma of grains, grass, flowers, herbs, citrus, sweet honey like malts. Tastes of grains, bread, earth, must, grass, smooth honey, some herbs, some fruity, citric hops. Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation. Finishes perfect, smooth, medium bitter, with earth, grains, spicy hops. This has really grown on me over the years, hands down my favorite Lager from Austria! Really natural, grainy and earthy aroma, with a perfect balance between rustic hops, smooth sweet malts and a lovely, creamy character despite the lighter body. Extremely quaffable, yet also surprisingly complex for the style, on par with Franconian Lagers! Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 5 / 17
