Smells of soft sweet barley but rather faint, has okay off white head but it's gone quick. Flavour is soft sweet barley the alcohol is just barley peeking through, mouthfeel is medium enough and a bit sugary. It has nice hidden alcohol and dark barley but is rather simplistic and bursting at the seams with that high alcohol.

Has soft brown body with no head, smells of dry malt with some hops. Flavour is good bright malts and sharp hops working well together. Mouthfeel has a dry finish, quite crisp. This is a nice pale ale.

Smells of paint thinner and lacquer thinner with some vague grains in the neighbourhood, has okay cloudy brown body and just a little bit of foam. Flavour is reasonably bright and fruit malt with soft sugar hints. Mouthfeel is full enough and alcohol is very well hidden. This is a decent quadrupel, far ahead of any other local attempts.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of perfumey notes, light bourbon and apple skins - uh oh. Flavour is thankfully better, but dry apple skins, plenty of wood, and then that perfumey, nail polish remover character creeps back in. Too long in a barrel perhaps? Either way, not a great product, especially for the outrageous price.

Draught at the brewery
Blond, slightly hazy, with fine perlage. Notes of apples and spirit, maybe stewed apples; so, Calvados. Dry and thin mouthfeel, some cider, and so many problematic fermentation compounds, fusels, plastic, higher alcohols, light acetic, that the spirit only helps to highlight, spirit without a clear bourbon character. And I paid double for this crap ($4.60 for 6oz).

On tap next door at the experiment room. Aroma is soft sweet apple, Has a good cloudy white body with a bit of foam. Flavour is nice bright cider, soft apple but not too sweet, mellow white wine notes. Crisp finish. This is a nice cider, well crafted, a bit of a rarity in these parts.

Brown and hazy. Thin head. Earthy, figgy, toffeeish nose. Strong, sweet, again figs and toffee. Quite estery. Overall, it's decent, but it's a bit boozier than I'd prefer.
