Brown bottle, 750 ml, savoured on March 4 2018; eye: maroon, opaque, good effervescence, minuscule ring of beige head, slight lacing; nose: bourbon, oak, malt, fig, red wine, light caramel, light anise; mouth: bourbon, oak, malt, fig, red wine, slight tannin, slight alcohol, light caramel, light anise, finale in malt with woody presence, medium body, average carbonation, lightly sweet, slick texture; overall: nice surprise

They switched up both the base beer and the coffee for Batch 3. Dark brown. Thin head. Has a light coffee and dark malt character. Sweetish and a bit wheaty. Fair bit of tartness. Doesn't come together all that well.

On tap at Hopwired Festival, pours a deep dark brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and earthy coffee. Flavour is bright, with lightly sweet toasted malt, medium coffee roast and a hint of caramel. Well-balanced, with a lightly sweet caramel finish. Nice stuff.

Draft - Pine, Roast and dark fruit. Jet brown with a decent beige head. Perfumy and light roast with dark fruit. Soft but nice with little bitterness.
