Bottle at Shinshu Sake Mura. Not much aroma, little bit of sweetness but not much else. Taste is similar, kind of macro like. Tastes ok, but very innocuous. Minimal hoppiness. Not so exciting. Hope the others are better. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood!

33cl can pours a cola brown with ecru head. Nose is very burnt malt, roasty, a little smoke, some dark rye. Flavor has a lot happening, malt, bread, smoke, molasses, earth too. Finishes just off dry.

330ml bottle at the late December DC RB Tasting. Poured a clear dark amber color with a small off-white, light tan head. Chocolate roast, with some light malts. Actually kind of good.

Tap at Oedo. Great hops in the nose, grassy, herbal, citrus and spice. Flavor a bit of a disappointment though, with DMS and strange spiciness. Starts well, finishes poorly.

Tap at Oedo. Brown-orange color, hazy, with lace. Nose is chocolate, spicy yeast, apples. Light body, apples, nice spicy yeast, some caramel. A decent dubbel.
