bottle, thanks to Bochum! Deep dark brown, nearly back colour, very small and quickly disapearing head. Unusually dark for a Weizenbock. Malty nose. Malty and wheaty, hints of banana mixed with dark dried fruit and a touch of berries. Smooth carbonation. Delicious winter brew.

Bügelverschlußflasche. A bit unclear, deep golden to light amber coloured, small stable off-white foamy layer. Swetish-malty nose with a robust toasted touch. Moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, medium bodied. Short, drier malty-bitter finish. Good, pleasant stuff......

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a diminished white head. Mild roasted and towards breadish and cornish aroma. Breadish and caramelish base flavour. Lingering malty and slight spiced finish.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of fruit and metal. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and straw, leading to a dry alcoholic, metallic, and bitter finish.

Würzig herber Antrunk mit leichter Süße, die sich im weiteren Verlauf deutlich zurückzieht und so zunehmend unwichtig erscheint. Auch die Würzigkeit wird geringer, wenn auch nur geringfügig. Die Bitterkeit bleibt konstant, wirkt aber zum Ende stärker, da die anderen Aromen nachlassen. Weiterhin würzig, im hinteren Mittelteil kommt eine seichte Karamellnote empor. Passend herber Abgang, in dem die Karamelnote ebenfalls wirkt. 8/9/10/10/9/9

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Intens aroma of caramel, yeast and alcohol. Good body, a little flat, notes of ashes, caramel, sherry and overripe fruit. The finish is dry. A very delicious dark Weizenbock. 050608

Bottle.. Ripe banana, clove, and chocolate malt aroma - moderate astringency. Hazy dark orange-brown color with no head. Astringent chocolate malt and banana flavor. More bock than weizen characteristics. NIce.

Bottle (from Koelschtrinker) Light sweet fruity malt aroma. Cloudy orange yellow color with moderate off-white head. Mildly sweet malt and moderate lemon peel and grassy hops flavor. Very light body. Nice beer but a bit bland.
