Weird hazy pour for style. Dirty soapy looking. Taste like bread and some fruit like berry and raisin. Muddled palate. Not sure what happened here.

Draught @ Solid State. Opaque, very dark brown with spongy tan head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter mocha taste, thin body, long roasted malt finish. Nice, no-nonsense porter, nothing frilly about it.

Draught @ Milk and Hops-Chelsea. Hazy reddish brown with small frothy beige head, caramel aroma, low carbonation, initially sweet caramel taste turning bitter with bit of salt and spices, thin body, medium bitter caramel finish. Not bad, not great either.

Tap at alewife. Very pretty pouring black with perfect one and half finger head. Nose is light chocolate and earth. Tastes of cola, earth, dark chocolate, slight florals, finishes with touch of vanilla sweetness. Creamy and dry palate. Decent

A reddish copper ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity cherry malt with light vanilla, light sourness, light cork, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with with tart cherry, light Epsom salts, light acidity, very nice and refreshing. Growler at CNY Brewfest 2016.

I enjoyed this one. Slightly earthy. The fruity hop flavors melded nicely with a bit of funk. I would happily drink a larger portion of this one next time.
