Bottle picked up from Walther Mai München and consumed at home sat out in the garden Sunday 13th July 2025 after a short walk to/from Schöfweg Volksfestival and a weekend locally hiking from Regenhütte between Zwiesel and Bayerisch Eisenstein. Pours dirty yellow/gold with a large white head, tangy, a little tart, citrus, primarily grapefruit, sweetened grapefruit, drinks far easier than an 8.5% beer should, nice but could have a bit more about it.

As good as no head. Dark brown to black beer. Sweet chocolate, vanilla. Faintly peppery, if smelling sweet. Taste is definitely drier, even not really sweet. Again peppery. Short hint at stoutacidity. Again chocolate, more towards black chocolate. Quite well-bodied, mild carbonation, alcoholheat. Not too sweet, but not really remarkable. Quite OK. Hazy amber colour with medium white head.Aroma is malty and spicy with good note of toffee caramel and mild berries note nice well balanced and smooth with good crispy finish.

A clear golden beer, no head. Aroma of flowers, sour grapes, pale malt. Taste of grapes, tart lime, pale malt. Easy to drink.

A clear brown colour, no head. Aroma of mild sweet dark chocolate malt, some molasses. Taste of molasses, mild sweet caramelized malt, easy to drink.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, redd-ish, dark amber colour with small, frothy, oderately lasting and lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, spicy and fruity aroma, notes of red berries and tonka beans, speculoos. Taste is tart-ish, tangy, minimally fruity, hints of tonka bean, a touch of black currant.
Watery texture, slightly dry and minimally astringent palate, fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Wonderful tonka aroma, overall a bit weird, disharmonious, imbalanced, but a bit more homogeneity in the finish - OK, but somewhat ill-conceived, improvable.

0.33 l bottle from 'Beyond Beer', best before May 2026. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-malty, a bit herbal aroma of grains, straw and traces of spruce. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently herbal and a bit grassy taste of grains, straw, some spruce and light honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Spruce is very hard to get, other than that a decent lager.
