Tap, City Crown in Valletta. Clear golden, smaller white head, not too lasting. Medium grassy nose, some spicy notes, hints of fruit. Milder bitterness, slight sweetness. A bit grassy in the finish. Light and ok. Nicely drinkable.

Straight outta the 0.33l bottle at Hugo’s rooftop. A fairly clean lager with decent bitterness-sweetness balance and light notes of honey, grains and herbal hops. Nothing you havent seen before but it’s also without major flaws and goes down in the 30 some degrees during sunbathing.

Bottle at our hotel in Malta. Pours semi clear golden with a quickly dissipating white head. Nose is estery and phenolic with a citric and grassy hoppy touch. Taste is grassy and citric hops, lemongrass and lots of esters, I actually have the feeling I’m drinking a saison rn. Closes with a dry, somewhat bitter finish, has a light body and soft carbonation. This is a tough one cause it’s not a bad beer inherently, but I’m sure it’s not what it was intended to be and it just feels so out of style.

Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di frutta disidratata e di caramello. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma è destinato a vita breve. Le bollicine sono grandi. Bollicine fini frizzantezza costituiscono la forma del perlage. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il finale è lungo, pulito e complesso. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di caramello, miele, crosta di pane, cioccolato, frutta secca, luppolo, un accenno di resinoso quasi balsamico, erba, agrumi, frutta passita e cherry.

Bland, malty, bit corny, macro

Magus, humalane, tsitrus, nata mehune, kerge kloor. Ok.

Tap in Mgarr. Yellow color slightly opalescent and fizzy, white bubbly head. Flavor has some sort of spices, fennel, herbs, orange peel. Thin malt profile, some dirt. Overall unclean, fairly refreshing but unrefined.
