Real dark brown colour, on the black side with little ruby highlights. The mocha-coloured and frothy head lasts a long time, leaving some creamy lacing. Bourbon sweet nose with the roasted malt base, some cereal notes and coffee. The bourbon is nicely balanced in the taste, as not to sweet, just a nice richness blended with the burnt barley, coffee giving a little bitterness with the hops. Quite a nice Bourbon imperial stout overall.

Working on cleaning up the backlog of notes I have. Sample from the Can enjoyed at the AirBNB.

Poured from the tap @ Le Drague, Quebec City. Crystal malt, light earthy hops, nothing special.

Hazed golden-amber colour with a big frothy-creamy warm cap, good retention and lacing. Orange juice nose with some nicely balanced tropical fruits is nice. Yep, mangoes and more. The taste shows these fruits with some decent dryness in the finish. Some nice warming aspect to it. Pretty fine all-around.

A kilkenny wannabe? Yes, this might be a good local alternative. Big molasses in the nose over a caramel malt base. Lightly hazy, amber colour with a big creamy mild beige head, great retention and creamy lacing. A smooth, silky, slightly oily, thin enough mouthfeel. Cereal and caramel malt taste with decent dryness in the finish. Yes, a good alternative for sure.

4-pack, plastic sealed, pouring a slight hazed light golden-yellow with a big frothy white cap, good stay and some creamy lacing left. Sweet, fruity nose with some hints of coriander, honey and mineral water. Fruity flavours at first with some banana notes from the wheat, but tropical ones as well. Some peach, some mango. It's not bad, and the three other cans went down nicely last night. Boom!
