After having their Double Tropical IPA of this series last night, and was not impressed - finding it too wheat-heavy rich and not balanced all-around. This one starts off better. Lightly hazed, golden with an amber hue, an off-white head, not staying much, but a few small lacing streaks are left. What really helps here, is that lemon juice, cutting the rich-sweetness of the other. In the nose and flavours, all way better balanced. I could drink another of this one, but not the other that came out at the same time.

Lightly hazed, golden colour with an amber hue, a fizzy off-white bubbly head that dissipates quickly, leaving no lace. Yes, mango nose, but a little off, like coming from a macro brewery. Some wheat-banana aromas as well, and cheap caramel malts. The taste is a little better, but still getting that annoying wheat again, with a sweetness that is not good. Glad I could buy only a single can of this, and not the 4-pack. Trying to replicate what Boréale is doing, but not succeeding. Even Boréale cheaper Double IPA version has wheat sticking out, but much better brewed all-around.

On tap at Archibald YUL. Hazy medium gold with a one finger quick fading head that produces spotty lace. Nose is bright citrus and tropical fruit with some peach and resin. Light fruity sweetness with a medium grapefruit and pine bitterness. Mouth is medium with average carbonation and a juicy finish.

Back in the day, bad craft beers were really bad. This is today's version of a bad IPA - bland, lacking depth and an absence of fresh and distinct tastes. Not horrible but no real redeeming features

On tap at their YUL bar. Pours slightly hazy blonde with a white head. Grainy malts and some floral notes on the nose. Flavour has crunchy malts, light caramelized sugar, and some dry floral grassy notes. Pretty solid.

On tap at their YUL bar. Pours hazy beige with a foamy beige head. Some caramel and candied berries on the nose. Flavour has dry caramel, dried berries, some crusts, some of that harsh fermented wheat character. Overall nothing too exceptional, but decent enough.

On tap at their YUL bar. Pours dull, opaque orange with a white head. Lots of sweet, chewy malts and citrus on the nose. Flavour has grapefruit, woody pine, wheaty malts, and a lot of chalky bitterness. Pretty clumsy.
