Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Slightly hazy orange-gold color with a thin white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of maple, cinnamon and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of sweet maple, cinnamon and bready malt. The finish is sweet with a cinnamon maple aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap source. Darker brown eye. Clear. Very little co2. Smoother + easy for a 10% beer. Hides the alky content very well, it appears to be quite civilized, actually. Not bad. No warming effects at all! A little sweet on the finish but not cloying for such a high alky brew. Probably would age well.

Yes, on tap at the source. Its a pretty good example of a well behaved pale ale. Lacks most of the ill attributes of most pale ales that are trying to be an IPA, hehehehhh. Clear pale yellow. Yes, very civilized. Some astringent bitterness sets in. Quite mellow tho for a pale ale. Nice to have a pale ale that doesn't care about being an IPA, thank you. Yet, there still is a little of that astringent character that sets in on the finish.

Tap source. Yummy and its not brown, its almost black. Taste is smooth. Its also very easy. I am starting to like this, it civilized. I am liking this. Nicely well done. Savory? Not sure. One of the better brews on tap here. Good co2 all the way thru. Yes, one of the better brews I had here today, JMHO. Yes, lacks any of that astringent bite I had in many of their other brews so far.

Tap at source. Big & black. Some clove in the nose. Roasty taste up front with some of that typical buckeye lake yeast astringent -ness in the middle? Controlled, to an extent. Not bad as the session continues. OK. Not bad. An average domestic oatmeal stout.Decent co2 to the end.

At the brewery. Dark brown eye, heheh. Ont he beer menu this says nut brown ale. Has a slight roastiness in there. Some bitter Not as bad as I thought it would be. Could use some manners, has some of that astringent feel to it that most of the beers I've had here possess.

Tap at source. Light brown iced tea eye. Taste is a little bitter astringent up front, like many I've had here. Lightens up a little in the middle. Lack many of the ill attributes I've come to know with domestic ambers. Mans up in the end, not bad.

On the beer menu they called this Dublin Irish Red. Reddish brown eye. Slight bitter up front. Good co2 for an irish beer, I like that. Easy, somewhat fun. Yes, astringent bite in many of their beers. Gets better toward the end. Finish also has some of that astringent sharpness to it.
