BIAB at Crafty Merlin's, Darlington. Golden colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of rhubarb, apple, spice, cinnamon. Taste is sweet, rhubarby, apple, apple pie, cinnamon, vanilla, spices, mellow, with alittle tartness. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet rhubarb & winter spiced finish. Quite drinkable.

From cask or possibly bag-in-a-box, at The Lyric, near Piccadilly Circus, with Sigmund before going to see Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre 21.09.22. Clear pale golden. No head. Aroma and taste of red apples, slightly bitter cider apples and apple zest. Good.

500ml bottle from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of red apple, apple skin. Taste is light sweet apple, faint chalk. Light sweet finish.

Box @ Bridge Street Ale House. Pours gold, clear. Mild gooseberry aroma, some caramelised apple fruit. Pleasant gooseberry notes to taste, slightly syrupy on the tongue, gently sweet. Ok.

10/6/2022. From BIAB at the 17th Braintree Real Ale Festival. Pours hazy pale orange pink with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of sweet orange, blossom, apple juice, peach and grapefruit. Quite heavy sweetness with minimal tartness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Quite okay.

10/6/2022. From BIAB at the 17th Braintree Real Ale Festival. Pours almost clear dark amber bronze with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of sloe berry, baked apple, hints of herb and juniper. Medium sweetness and light bitterness/tartness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Dry, sweet and tangy finish. Quite enjoyable.
