Bottle from Bayard's Cove, Dartmouth. Appearance - golden to blush pink colour. Steady carbonation. Nose - definitely pink grapefruit in spades. Looking for the apples. Taste - again, nearly all pink grapefruit, not a lot of apple. Palate - tangy and dry. Light to medium bodied. Overall - quite like a grapefruit alcopop. Nice, but struggling to find much of the apples.

Bottle in Dartmouth. Appearance - pale golden with steady carbonation. Nose - apple skin and sweet apple fruit. Taste - sweet apple, light woody note. Palate - close to medium bodied. While this is probably medium sweetness it has good apple acidity and drinks pretty dry. Overall - good.

21/11/2018. Bottle at 26 Furnival St (the pub formally known as Castle), London. Pours very pale gold with a small short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of pear drop sweets and light sweet apples. Quite heavy sweetness, minimal bitterness/tartness. Moderate body, oily texture, above average carbonation. Sweet and quite artificial. Not bad, but not great either.

Box @ cider boat, Bristol. Pours relatively clear pale orange. Aroma has light mango fruit. Taste is clean, light, thin with pleasant mango and gentle lime citrus. No real cider complexity here, it's all about a light fruity refreshment.

Bag in a box at The Plough, Taunton. Pours light hazy very pale pink with no head. Aroma & taste: sweet & syrupy, rhubarb juice, apple pulp, fruity. Light body, almost zero carb, sweet finish. Sickly sweet, struggled to finish a half. They must be targetting Kopparberg drinkers

500ml bottle. Pours a yellow golden colour with a foamy white head that quickly dissipates away. Aroma of floral elderflower, sugar syrup, musky. Taste is juicy, apple, elderflower, citric, some tartness, with a fair amount of sugary sweetness.Slightly syrupy mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, semi-dry and residual sweet at the finish. Quite OK.

500ml bottle from Producers’ Stand at Good Food Show NEC 2016 - Clear green tinged body, no head. Nose is fruity ripe pears, taste not as sickly and false as any of the other commercial Perry I’ve had. Actually not bad.

500ml bottle from producer’s own stall at Good Food 2016 NEC - Clear yellow body, fizz lines leave a little head. Nose is floral, with a sharp apple tinge. Taste is clean for a cider, sweet-ish, but dry on the way out. Quite nice.

500ml bottle from Stallholder’s own stand at Good Food Festival NEC - Clear golden orange, no top. Not an expert on cider, but this one has all the hallmarks of the stuff I used to quaff as a kid. Sugary apples, nose and taste, syrupy feel.
