Bottle from Scrattings. Cloudy dark gold with some white foam. Aroma of fruity apple, brown sugar, apple skins. Taste of the fruity dabinett, light sourness, wood, some funky barnyard, drying close. Excellent.

Dark bottle from Scrattings. Cloudy darkish gold, some bubbly retention. Aroma of barnyard musk, moderately sweet apple juice, wood. Taste of tangy mid-sweet apple juice, musk, moderate acidity, semi-drying. Decent character to this.

3/9/2024. Can shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear pale golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is apple, straw, light herb, funky, barnyard. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Increasingly dry finish. Liked this.

750ml bottle from Ganley & Naish for #rpgm. Sparkling golden colour, foamy white head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of perry pear, funk hint, caramel note. Taste is sweetish, perry pear, juicy fruit, with hints of fudge, caramel, funk, some acidity and drying tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, drying peary tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Taste is slightly tart, tangy, apple, fleshy fruity, with some funk, hay and bittersweet tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

440ml can from Sandford Orchards, drunk at our lodge in Finlake, Devon. Clear gold appearance. Lovely cider apple fruit aroma, rosy richness. Continues nicely to taste, great medium dry overall, lovely rich fruitiness, tight tannic close. Really well presented.

12/10/2023. BIAB at Nottingham Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Pours hazy golden amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is apple, funky, floral, touch of aniseed. Medium sweetness, light tartness. Medium body, low carbonation. Drying finish. Pretty decent.
