Cask @ Akkurat. Heavy on the dark malts. Notes of coffee and dark dry chocolate. Herbal hoppiness.

Cask gravity at the 2016 pigs ear beer fest. A amber brown coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is solvent harsh alcohol, apple cake, cinnamon. Flavour is composed of rounded malts, burnt toffee, headache inducing alcohol. Palate is sweet and sticky rounded, ok cask condition. Alcohol is too harsh.

Cask gravity at the 2016 pigs ear beer fest. A reddy amber coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is spicy Belgian phenols, ginger, little banana, sweet brown sugars. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, brown sugars, woody, apple, Belgian phenols banana, amber malts. Palate is thick and sweet, moderate carbonation. Not half bad.

Draft at a Pigs Ear Fest. Getting closer to my palate, a much bigger barley wine than the previous ratings. Still not overly boozy. Plenty malty though, malts dominate the aroma and taste. Velvety textures.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy pale golden. Fruity nose with some citrus. Mid sweet with light body and rounded mouthfeel. Somewhat diluted and chalky. Fruity and grainy with slight hop touch. Mid bitter finish.

Tap at Euston Tap. Black beer lasting tan head. A dry stout. Dry malts. Dry finish. Not overly roasty. Bit of tar and charcoal. Good condition and temperature. Yes a nicely drinkable dry stout.

Tried at the The Great Western, Wolverhampton. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma big roasted malt and fruity hops, nice citrus and tropical. Taste light sweet to long roasted bitter.
