(On tap) Clear deep brown with good tan head. Aroma of coffee and roast grain. Medium body with good soft carbonation. Taste is unusual and doesn’t quite all hang together for me. There’s plenty of chocolate. There’s some quite strong coffee bitterness. There’s dark roast grains with some burnt hints. It’s good but a bit odd.

Draft from the Sunny Hills brewpub. Poured, crystal clear almost opaque. The aroma is sweet crushed apple. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a somewhat light, crisp, sweet apple, light herbal, sugary sweet palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Too sweet for me and rapidly becomes a little sickly.

375ml can from the Sydney brewpub. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with lots of short-lived fizz. The aroma is big ginger. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a spicy ginger, hints of apple, sweet fake sugary palate. Medium to light bodied with lively initial carbonation. It’s perfectly drinkable but not much different to a non-alcoholic ginger beer.
