Description
We are Lost Orchards and we are shaking up the cider industry by making award winning cider by replanting Scotland's lost orchards.

Since the 12th century, orchards scattered with juicy apples, were a popular sight in Scotland. Globalisation and lower transport costs lead to cheaper imports from overseas and the orchards were lost. We’re looking to reverse this process, one sip at a time and restore a traditional part of our much-loved heritage and countryside.

Our mission is to bring Scotland’s orchards back, one sip of cider at a time.

Bottle shared in Canary Wharf - cheers to Danny. Pours extremely pale with a few bubbles. Light to medium sweet flavour, mellow apples, a little bitter peel. Light bodied, slightly spritzy. Pretty clean finish, sweet. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to the producer. Appearance - like a light jelly colour, red and shiny with no head. Nose - sweet strawberry. Taste - more of the sweet strawberry. Thinking there's lime but might've convinced myself rather than found it for real. Palate - light to medium bodied. Sweet but still a little bit refreshing. Overall - ok for the style.

Bottle thanks to the ciderie. Appearance - deep red and clear, like a lozenge. Short lived pinky-white head. Nose - massive blackcurrant note, concentrated Ribena. Taste - still blackcurrant but melding weirdly into strawberry. Palate - sweet but not synthetically so, so a natural sweetness. Light acid, just enough to cleanse. Overall - I like it.
