Bottle at home. Aroma is very spicy, coriander, malt, mustard seed, cardamom, ginger, yeast. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Yikes, way too spiced for my tasty and more of a Tripel than a Saison any way.

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, caramel, quite herbal, touch of dried fruits, nutmeg. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Quite malty and herbal/spiced, not my kind of beer.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Aroma is dark malt, plenty of wood, vanilla, caramel, some candy sugar, dried fruits, touch of whiskey and chocolate with a hint of coffee. Lots of oak... Flavour is sweet and moderate bitter. Finish has some dryness from the oak chips. Body is above medium. I’m gonna go along with my peers and call this an Imperial Doppelbock. A bit disappointing when you think you’re in for an Imperial Stout. That being said, this is a fine beer with some nice barrel notes.
