750ml (thx, Charles S.!) @ Matt's new place. Appearance: a bit hazy blonde with almost no head. Aroma: funky, wine barre notes, some weird grainy notes in the background. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: there is a nice saison base, but it lacks balance and integration.

750mL bottle, pours a pale golden blonde with small, quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma brings out rustic saison yeast, some wild bugs, oak, and a touch of wine barrels. Flavour is surprisingly puckering and acidic, with plenty of wine barrels, rustic saison yeast, some nice bugs, and fairly dry oak. The carbonation is essentially flat and the acidity is a bit too much. I want a funkier, more rustic character, with better effervescence. But it's decent.

(473ml can from masoif.com) Pours opaque deep yellow with a hich white head that has decent retention and lace. Aroma is really on the spicy side, notes of pale melon, unripe green fruit like mango/papaya, pale citrus peel, heavy dank earthy cannabis, peppery green onion, some underripe pineapple. Flavour is quite dry, especially for a TIPA, again on a tip of pale citrus (lemon, grapefruit, exotic yellow things, some brighter orange), citrus pith, white grape, dank and earthy cannabis, unripe pineapple, green mango, very pale doughy cereals, potent green onion from mid-sip on, peppery into the finish which carries citrus, grapey florals and some earthy cannabis into a long finish that has hop burn after nearly 2 months in can but no alcohol to speak of. Medium-bodied, slightly oily, below average carbonation. Really quirky sort of hop profile here, I thought it wouldn't be to my taste but it's impressively pulled-off thanks to really quality brewing and I very much enjoyed.

Poured from 375mL bottle (thanks beerplace). Near black with very minimal beige head. Oreo cookie biscuit, vanilla, extremely feint coconut. A novelty beer that they executed well on. This is what the Superflux Cookies & Cream should aim to be.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours very hazy orange gold with a huge white head that's very stable and leaves heavy lace. Aroma of dried mango, sugared grapefruit, pineapple, Strata-style floral melon and ganja, rich brioche malt. Flavour is sweet ripe and candied fruits, heavily sugared grapefruit, slightly tingly pineapple, mango and peach, some floral largely sweetened passionfruit, a rich brioche malt base compared to typical Messo, finish is drying somewhat with lots of florals, sticky grapefruit, a bit of cannabis, the Strata/El Dorado resins manage to be tamed somewhat which is a good thing but there's still a little tingle despite the low bitterness. Medium bodied, oily, fairly soft carbonation. This is a big TIPA-adjacent beer for sure, maltier and richer than a typical Messo DIPA. Solid stuff.

Mooch tasting, courtesy of the gang
Black colour. Strong coffee aroma, alcohol, light green peppers. Full bodied, sweet; the sugars are balanced by the roasted character, coffee, and some acidity from the roasting; burn sugars, hint of cookies, then chocolate, and vanilla, bourbon, spirit.
Very good.
