50 cl on tap at Põrgu, Tallinn. Dark mahogany, almost black, with a modest, but lasting beige head. Malty and roasty aroma with nice smoky notes, dark fruits and hints of wood and bonfire. Moderate to medium sweet with surprisingly smooth and balanced malty and smoky flavours and a rather mild bitterness. Tasty brew that goes down easy! --- Beer merged from original tick of Põrgu Purgatoorium on 09 Jan 2016 at 14:53 - Score: 7

(Keg at Põrgu, 20150926) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, coriander and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, coriander, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. A decen witbier having some herbal-like notes that weren’t so pleasing.

Tap @ Põrgu. Pours red copper with nice white head. The head stays, nice lacing. Aroma is rather weak caramel, herbal, berries, citrus. Taste is caramel, herbal, berries, grapefruit bitterness. Finish is decent grapefruit bitter. Overall: from the other comments it seems that every batch is very different; this one was drinkable, but not exciting.

Draught @ Põrgu. Rated on 21.12.2013
Aroma is fruity with some caramel, toffee and hops. Flavour is sweet with caramel, piney hops, fruits and distant woody notes. Hints of Laitila-like vegetables at the middle of the glass. Good anyway.
