(Draught at Gist, Brussels, 22 Oct 2023) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with notes of liquorice, espresso, cacao, mint and pine needles. Malty, roasted, hoppy taste with liquorice, prunes, coffee, caramel, pine needles, grapefruit, slightly burnt flavours and a balanced citric/piney bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and quite complex porter, leaning in the black IPA direction. Very nice.

(Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 22 Oct 2023) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, liquorice, dark bread and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Solid and well made baltic porter. Very nice.

(Draught at Moeder Lambic Original, Brussels, 20 Oct 2023) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, pine needles, crisp-bread and a touch of resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with orange peel, grapefruit, resin, pine needles, crisp-bread and a generous citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Generous hop presence, with a solid, dry bitterness. Very nice.

Aroma is floral citrus, blood orange, wheat, floral citrus, chalky, flavour is composed of, soft wheat, tangerine, floral citrus, tangy citrus, grapefruit. Palate is salt, highish carbonation. Mineral finish.

Tap at the surrealist. A light hazed dull gold coloured pour with a a sticky white head. Aroma is sour, lemon, pinch of sea salt, loose sour wheat. Flavour is composed of sharp and tangy, salty grapefruit, loose sour wheat. Tangerine. Palate is sharp and tangy, highish carbonation. Quite interesting.
