Nice hearthy aroma, with some nuttyness. Vinous, onctuous mouthfeel with lots of caramalized malts, but with a tinge of acidity. A good offering from KBC.

Nose of apple cider with some pepper thrown in. Rather thin, but goood fresh malt taste. A little acidic point, maybe the beer is turning.

Wheat or grassy aroma with a nice malty, biscuitty taste. Nice and refreshing but nothing else OCt. 2 2004: Light amber with sweet honey aroma , very fruity (raspberries). Again biscuity with barley sugar notes (sucres d'orge). Rather flat and light bodied.

Cask conditonned or nitro pour???...nice nutty nose, thick nitro head, but to the taste, deception...good malts in the mouth, with a barrel woody taste...but also noted acidic aftertaste which wouldn't go away. Going bad?

Hazy dark straw; tightly sparkling. Very nutty, with apple skin and rustic barnyard notes. Better on paper than in the glass, though.

Light gold colour; light fruit, fuel notes. Sweetish, macro-style gibberish wholly unworthy of this pleasant pub.

Burnished copper; earthy hop nose; robust woody bitterness, punctuated by caramel. The golding influence is less overt here than in the former Hart-brewed rendition.

Bright burnished amber; thin, creamy head. Light grassy, mossy character. Buttery body with a hint of acidity. Dryish, vaguel malty finish.
