A hazy wit with a thin white head. In aroma, nice strawberry and bananas, with a hint of cloves. In mouth, more pronounced cloves, pleasant sweetness, creamy, spot on for the style. Nice light hopping action. Another fine offering from Nickel Brook. Bottle from JesseM, thanks !

Bottle: Poured a clear dark color porter with a medium foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of maple and roasted malt are easily detectable. Taste is a strange mix between some lightly sweet maple notes with dry roasted malt. Body is a bit light for style with good carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Not bad overall but I am probably not the biggest fan of including maple in beer.

Bottle from matt7215. Ok, nearly at the end of your beers, but my gratitude only increases. Pours a very reddish, hazy amber with a large frothy beige head. Aroma of reddish fruit. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is cherry, mild funk, and something like cherry pit. Then it goes all oaky astringent. Oh. Bottle says oak aged. Finish is funky, oaky cherry, but not so strong my mouth can’t stand it. Bottom line: Do whatever you need to do to get this. It’s not a Belgian kriek, but it’s damn tasty. Arguably the issue is that the particular cherries are a bit sweeter than the sour Belgian.

Bottle from matt7215. Many thanks for this one! Very hazy and rather dark copper/brown color with a few transient beige bubbles. Aromas of spicey cooked non-dark fruits. Full bodied with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is oaky light stone fruit, some sweet caramel, and arguably some hop bitter. Could be wood. Goes with something like cherry in the finish. With hot bits. This is really good stuff. Get it, if you can.

Bottle from matt1275. Thanks again! Pours hazy pale gold with a finely bubbled white head. Aromas of citrus, banana and yeast. Near medium body with fizzy/frothy carbonation. Flavor is clove, banana and touch of citrus. Finishes just a little bitter or perhaps zesty. More flavor than many wits.

Can from matt7215. Thanks once more. Hazy light amber, showing yeast trace, with a bubbly whiteish head. Aroma is a little bread, some yeast, and something like floral hop. Near medium body with almost creamy carbonation. Flavor is lightly bready, with something suggesting citrus, and maybe a touch of vanilla. A mildly fruity lager. Finishing slightly astringent and decently bitter. Some good beers are being made in Ontario.

This lager poured a light orange colour with a short lived bright white head. To the nose there are scents of must, caramel, mold and grass. Remember the smell of old books in your grandparents attic? Add that too. First taste is watery with a little caramel and hopps? Musty flavour too. This beer is slightly bitter with I think hopps but I’m thinking its just off...Duh?! Finish is a little bitter with lingering flavour of mineral water??? Not so good...

This Pils poured a clear light yellow colour with a nice big bright white head. To the nose there are scents of apples, dough and cinnamon. The first taste was really too sweet and thick. Flavours of sugary carbonated apple juice is about all there is. Palate is sweet and the thickness is lingering. Sickly sweet.

Bottle: Poured a clear light amber color ale with a large frothy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma of crisp hops with some lightly sweet malt. Taste is also interesting with some grassy hops and nice malt balance. Vegetable finish is bit weird but not too strong to mess this beer. Body si quite full with good carbonation. Well done.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy reddish brown color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and minimal retention. Aroma of sour cherries with light oak notes and a bigger malt backbone then expected. Taste is quite interesting with some lightly tart cherry and some subtle oak with a great dry caramel malt backbone. Full body with limited filtration and good carbonation. I must admit to having enjoyed that one quite a bit but more oak presence would have had complexity and made this even more enjoyable.
