Sampled from tap in front of ’De Bierkoning’ during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016. Hazy, straw yellow with a white head. Sourish-fruity aroma of lemon, gooseberry and quince. Sourish-fruity, slightly funky taste of lemon, quince and gooseberry, followed by a medium long, moderately tart, rather dry finish. Medium body, moderately astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

33 cl bottle @ home, bottled 31 March 2016. Clear golden color. White head with some retention. Aroma’s of funky yeast (horseblanket, manure, you know the drill), some fruit. More fruit and less funk retronasal (fortunately). Flavor is light sweet, light fruity sour, with brett notes throughout. Light bodied. Short finish with light bitterness.

Bottle @ home. Opaque black color, full sized fizzy light brown head that diminishes quickly. Aroma is malts, sourish old coffee residu, dusty, red berries. Taste malts, dark malts, a distant hint of roast but mostly sourness, sour old coffee, acidic vinegar sour finish. Clearly -looking at ratings from others at least- this is a bad bottle. It’s well within best before date though: bottle date 5 November 2015, best before "24 months after bottle date". Unfortunately this bottle sucks, too bad. I’ll have to rerate it if I get the chance.
