Description
Matteo & Cristina Minelli founded Birra Flea in 2013, with the dream of showing their love for the town of Gualdo Tadino and combining the best traditions with an innovative approach. They decided to create a product with a very strong local identity: a beer containing the best fruits of their hometown. The output is 55.000 hectoliters of Italian craft beer per year!
Birra Flea is produced from the well-known waters of Gualdo Tadino and the best malts - 100% Italian barley - produced and selected from the Minelli's farm. Birra Flea is produced with only wheat and barley malts - no other unmalted grains - and is both unfiltered and unpasteurized. It is refermented in the bottle in order to preserve its organoleptic properties, without the addition of preservatives and chemical additives.

11/2/2026. Can bought at the Norwich Arts Centre fundraiser following World Beer Awards. Pours fine. Lots of ripe fruits, sweet malts and berries, and a hint if spice. A little sweet with moderate bitterness. Medium body, quite smooth, average carbonation. A fruity red. Quite liked it.

Note 3.6, buying this bottle at Amstein, St-Légier, in december 2022, best before 05/23. A correct and light a.p.a nothing to see with one American brewery but the taste is watery and subtle, dry, mineral, smooth, floral and aromatic hop, a bit fruity,.24.06

Bottle at Italian Good, New Haw. Hazy-opaque amber. Foamy white head. Aroma has resin and herbs. Underlying malts and an earthiness. Medium bitter - resin and herbs - with a citrus streak and underlying chewy malts. An aftertaste doesn't benefit the beer. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Nice without quite being the finished article.
