Den Karsamstag, an dem wir unsere Sofa-Bierreise fortsetzen, gibt es dieses Bier. Es ist mein letztes Bier meines Kalea-Bieradventkalenders 2019 (Österreich-Edition). Es ist ein Imperial Stout, das aber nicht auf trockene bittere Schokoladearomen getrimmt ist. Es hat neben den klassischen Stout-Noten feine Hopfentöne und ist wirklich toll im Mund. Es ist schön ausgewogen und so es ist interessant für Bierkenner als auch noch trinkbar für den Alltagstrinker, der ein bisschen über den Tellerrand sehen will. Kann man guten Gewissens empfehlen.

BB 09/2020. black color, tiny tan head. smells licorice, earthy, bit nutty, spices, some soy sauce, light vanilla. nice smell overall. full body, light carbonation. tastes earthy, licorice, bit nutty, light vanilla, soy sauce again, light sherry. finishes lightly dry with notes of spices, soy sauce and some nutty notes. decentish overall. flavours are a bit all over the place. quite drinkable.

Bottle fromm Haussmann Getränkemarkt. Super black with a huge head. Aroma of supermarket brand chocolate ice cream, roasty coffee delicious. Flavor is mild and slightly sweet, light coffee flavor with hints of cocoa, really nice.

Sampled @ Braukunst Live 2020. A very dark brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of dark caramelized malt, chocolate, vanilla. Taste of sweet caramelized malt, chocolate, vanilla some coconut.

Can. Dak mahogany beer with a brown head. Caramel and light dark fruit aroma. Toasted malt and caramel flavor with light chocolate and dark fruit. Medium bodied. Caramel and dark fruit linger with light chocolate.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. Pours clear dark brown color with thin quickly diminishing tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light sweet roasted malt and coffee, follows by caramel, dried fruit, grass and mild alcohol, mouthfeel is crisp and rather dry, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Not bad, but far away from black...

500ml can (as Schwarze TINTE Collab Stout) from a Kalea Advent Calendar from Cost-Co. Drank on Boxing Day 2019. Ruby hue to the dark brown body, beige head that was soon a wisp and collar. Malty nose and taste with light coffee and chocolate notes. Bit thin body wise but flavoursome enough without exciting your senses.
