On tap at BBC, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma has some piney hops, light resins, a touch of dankness, and allium—but a bit jumbled. Flavour is fairly expressive, with resinous hops, some pine, citrus, light allium, and some berry-like fruitiness. Nice melange of hop flavours, though it doesn’t ultimately come together all that well and falls a bit flat. Nothing wrong, just not particularly invigorating.

On tap at BBC, pours a red-ringed dark brown with a small tan head. Nose is pretty English in the malt department, with bready malt and an odd tartness in there. Flavour is dry and dirty, with lots of soil-like character and some crusty bread. Dirty and too soil-like. Not great.

On tap at BBC, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma has soft piney hops, some muffled earthiness, and toasted bready malt. Flavour has some woody pine, light citrus, and bready malt. Fairly bright, citrusy finish. Pleasant.

On tap at BBC, pours a cloudy deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is fairly earthy, with toasted nuts, some burnt caramel, and bread crusts. Flavour is dry, with plenty of earthiness, toasted nuts, and some burnt caramel. Dry, earthy, toasted finish. Well-made but unexciting.

On tap at BBC, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has soft piney hops, a touch of strawberry, and soft biscuity malt. Flavour is clean, with soft piney hops, light berry, and biscuity malt. Much more hop-forward than a typical golden ale. Clean and well-constructed. Solid.

On tap at BBC, pours a clear pale yellow us blonde with a medium white head. Aroma has bright herbaceous notes, some grassiness, and straw. Flavour is clean, with bright herbaceous notes, grassiness, and straw. The carbonation is above average, but that somehow works here. Pleasant enough.

Tap at the brewpub. Dark mezzo mix. Cinamon, vanilla, toffee, pumpkin, syrup. The base beer is probably drinkable, I think, but who knows, because there is mellow and edgy sweet syrup stuff that is maybe spices and pumpkin; to be honest I never understood pumpkin ales, but this is one, and I knew it before I ordered, but then on the other hand there are a lot of cute bats on the walls of the brewpub, and it's the last beer of the night. Is this undrinkable? Yes.

Tap at the brewpub, but as 6.6% (brewver was kind of not so helpful when I tried to enter this as a batch of the base beer, so, hu). Dark. Chocolate, chalky, caramel, cream. Full, dark, roasted, long, dark chocolate, coffee. Not bad.

Tap at the location. Claret, tan cream. Earthy base, restrained spices, medium light body, lets imagine there are sone light roasted pumpkins here, earthy hop finish. Can’t say this brings me closer to liking pumpkin ales.
