Draft at the source. Pours a slightly unclear straw gold with a finger of white foam. Crackery malt and grain with light peppery hops. As it warms the juniper berry notes come out with lovely botanical and floral aromas. Palate is similar with the gin botanicals singing, but not overtaking the base beer. A fun take on pro pils.

Draft at Drafting Table. Pours a clearish straw gold with a finger of fluffy white head that lingers. Pineapple, starfruit and citrus on the nose. Light and crushable with a dry, fruity finish from the hops. A summer crusher!

12.7oz bottle I got via trade, pours an oily dark cola brown with basically no head. Confirming this is Batch 4, the maple Van Winkle version. Nose had smoke and wood, rootbeer, some chocolate, more birch than maple. Flavors are better and stronger, witch hazel, maple, birch, whiskey, marzipan, root beer barrels, black licorice. Oily finish, a little boozy, a little bite.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a most clear orange gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Lovely pine and pith aromas on the nose with wild berry and passionfruit notes. More of the same flavors on the palate. Slightly softer mouthfeel than a traditional west coast, but nice pithy bitterness and passionfruit skin. Hops shine in this one.

Draft at Drafting Table. Pours a pitch black with a small brown head that dissipates. Big bourbon aromas with brownie fudge and maple syrup as it warms. Vanilla, chocolate and more maple on the palate. Good body and carbonation with a bourbon-forward finish. Very good.
