Canned 11/10/23, drunk 12/23/23. Clear brass-bronze. Small, off-white head quickly to spotty cover. Smells like an IPA from mid 2000's - piney, resinous, hard grapefruit. Throw in a bit of crystal malt and call it a day. Hard grapefruit rind, resinous pine, scratchy, toasty crystal malt. On the plus side, it's well-malted and appropriately attenuated with no alcohol or flaw. Not TOO heavy on the resin or crystal malt. And the excellent maltiness goes a long way to help balance.

Draft at Drafting Table. Pours a clear chestnut brown with a small beige head that lingers. Lovely caramel and toasted nut aromas with light chocolate as it warms. Smooth and easy-drinking. Light cold-coffee notes on the finish with more caramel and chocolate flavors. Not overly sweet with a balanced, dry finish.

Draft at Drafting Table. Pours a dark brown to black with a small bit of brown head that dissipates. Lovely dark chocolate aromas with baker's chocolate, caramel and dark malt as it warms. Salted caramel and dark chocolate on the finish. Very nice.

Can thanks to Russell. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa, cracker, roast, vanilla. Slick body, roasted malt, cracker, vanilla, dry finish, very good.

Draft and can from Drafting Table. Pours a pitch black with a finger of beige head that lingers. Oak, vanilla, prune and chocolate aromas abound. Palate is very similar with warming bourbon, dark fruit with dark chocolate and vanilla flavors all shining. A nice oaky note underneath with more warming bourbon on the finish.

Draft at DT. Pours a hazy straw gold with a finger of fluffy foam that lingers. Lovely mineral and straw aromas on the nose. Palate is dry and clean with a touch of malt aromas and more mineral notes. Drying finish with a soft mouthfeel.

2023 Can from Drafting Table. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of brown head that lingers, then dissipates. Lovely vanilla and maple aromas with big dark chocolate and milk chocolate notes. Smooth and medium to full bodied on the palate. More maple, chocolate, coffee and lingering vanilla. Bourbon comes through on the nose and palate and lingers on the finish. Great as usual.

Can from DT. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige head that lingers. Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, vanilla and oak-y bourbon aromas dominate the nose. Same on the palate with vanilla, bourbon, oak and chocolate. So good.
