Description
In 2015, Hubbard’s Cave was developed as an alternative to our Belgian Style Ales. Producing American Style ales, primarily imperial stouts and Hubbard’s Cave signature Fresh IIPAs, Hubbard’s Cave is a refreshing addition to the Une Anneé Family. Named after the Chicago Hubbard Street traffic tunnel on Interstate 90/94, next to where the brewery was born, Hubbard’s Cave has quickly grown to produce some of our most popular offerings.

Can shared at Brewver Belgian Winter Gathering. Opaque dark brown color, average sized light brown colored head. Aroma is malts, hazelnut, light tonka notes. Flavor is malts, huge hazelnut, again tonka (or maybe pecan?) notes, harsh coffee, alcoholic finish. Hmm not a big fan, over the top imo. 8-6,5-6-6-6

1/III/25 - 1Pt. can @ Belgian Beer Geek Gathering (2025 Winter/Spring edition), BB: n/a, 2021-1 (2025-158) Thanks to nathanvc for sharing the can!
Cloudy dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, falls down quickly, a bit adhesive. Aroma: lovely, good roast, hazelnuts, toasted pecans, caramel, a bit malty, lots of caramel and vanilla. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sugary and sweet start, lots of caramel, alcohol, quite some chocolate, nice, lovely stuff! Aftertaste: sugary, alcohol, hazelnuts, some chocolate, vanilla notes, lovely beer!

Pint can @ Belgian Winter gathering 01 March 2025 – Tim’s place, thanks Nathan.

My final rating on Ratebeer. What a long and wonderful ride it has been. At least I chose an outstanding beer to be my final one: Black with a small foamy dark brown head. Intense aroma of cocoa and raspberry. Flavor was strong cocoa and raspberry followed by notes of vanilla, toasty malt, bourbon and lactose. Exceptionally long finish. Full bodied
