Can to tulip.
Appearance: amber to muddy purple sort of color with a finger and a half of white foamy head which settled off at a semi-slow pace, not much lace after that
Aroma: fresh green and/or jalapeno peppers that seem like they were just cut and de-seeded then a fresh clean watermelon to dragon fruity sweetness
Flavor: intertwines the prior noted aromas in a vegetable fresh to fruity sweet quality with a super low spice from the jalapeno tones (the spice seems barely there); finishes jalapeno to dragon fruity sweet fresh-like toned with a speck of dryness
Texture: medium bodied; seems to lean towards being a sipper as some of the spice from the jalapenos adds just a little bit of heat to the tongue; good carb level
Overall: nicely done beer despite me not getting the prickly pear, lime and agave. Was it too much - with these other fruits not showing up? Hmmm...but the rest of it was brewed well, so there's that. Only other thing about this is that if I could put this in as a fruit beer or vegetable beer I would have done so but FOC says this is a sour/wild ale? Hmmmmm, where were the sour qualities in this?

Can to tulip.
Appearance: thick milky orangey pale color with a fizzy head which didn't leave any lace
Aroma: sweet to tart berry tones with sweet orange pulpy scents, some yeasty sweet/bready accents
Flavor: intertwines the prior noted aromas to a fine tart to sweet quality underscored by a light yeasty bready sweetness; finishes semi-tart with a pinch of sweet orangey/pulpy & a little bit of berry-ish noted qualities
Texture: medium bodied; slightly sessionable; short on the smoothness with some dry effects
Overall: nice enough fruited sour ale I think I could return to.

500ml can from Total Wine. Pours a hazy gold color with a large, bright white head and great retention. Good lacing. Clean pale malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Smooth, clean, and slightly sweet pale malt flavor. Really refreshing. Not as crisp as I expected. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. No bitterness. Just a really good lager.

Pint can. pours a dark brown--almost black--color with a medium sized tan head that soon vanishes. The aroma is roasted (blackened) grains and perhaps a bit of coffee. the taste is similar to the nose, lots of well roasted grains. bit of coffee and some black walnuts. Palate was on the lighter side and the carbonation soft. Finished medium in duration and dry. Overall: Decent for a dry stout, but also quite forgettable.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: pours dark brown close to black a finger's worth of khaki colored bubbly head and this popped fairly quick thus barely leaving any lace, yeah, there really isn't any
Aroma: cinnamon - yes in an odd sort of earthy/shaved sort of way; the maple is there in a dried sweet sort of way and the chocolate & vanilla seem to come across in a sweet sort of way
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas in a mostly sweet sort of way; finishes about the same way - sweet cinnamon-ly with chocolate & vanilla-ish accents
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; pretty smooth along the tongue; good carb level
Overall: good for what it was, I think I could return to...maybe...

16 oz can from Tavour. Aroma of Roston, chocolate malt and soft roasted coffee. Good flavor of charred barley, chocolate, and slight roast. Nice mouthfeel, almost creamy. Hints of black licorice as it warms. Licorice is not my favorite flavor in a stout. However, it’s decent enough to drink.
