Fruit, spice and sweet malt on the nose. The big roasted malt presence continues into the taste profile. The spiciness softens and there are faint fruity hop notes. On the slick and dense side. OK, but is a bit out of balance and lacks definition in its tastes.

Can from the lcbo. Hazy orange pour, medium white head. Very vegetal, lots of bitter cereals, and bitter citrus pith. Not much in way of tropical fruit, just bitter citrus zest, and unpleasant vegetal/cereal notes. Mouth feel, and carb are ok. Very bitter, more big pithy notes, wet paper vegatal/herbal finish.

Can from the lcbo. Clear amber pour, with a large white head. Aroma is soft, lightly bready, soft grasses, good cereals. Mouth feel is good, carb is standard. Finish has a soft UK style hop flavour some Goldings, or fuggles. Grassy, slightly pungent, low bitterness. Decent, but nothing memorable.

A deep dark reddish brown porter with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, chocolate malt with light fruity esters, light coffee, pleasant and smooth. On tap at Spearhead.

Clean, light golden-yellow colour with a frothy-bubbly white cap, average stay and minimal lacing. Malty aromas with some herbal-grassiness and hints of burnt wood. The taste is milder with some spicy malt that reminds me of Pils-malts, with some grassy-woody lingering and hints of citrus. This is quite a refreshing, zesty-spicy lager that goes down nicely.

Clean amber colour with golden highlights, a light beige head, decent stay and lacing. Some Belgian spices and sugar, with some red wine notes, dates and darker cereal grains. This continues in the taste with a nice drying finish. A decent Belgian ale, but colour and other characteristics seems more like a Dubbel than a Tripel.

Can that pours a dark brown colour, seems fairly clean with ruby and copper highlights. The head is warm-beige, frothy, long lasting and leaving some full-froth lacing. Roasted malt base with some fruitiness, molasses. The taste is milder, as this is mild stout at 4.2% ABV with the roasted barley, watery dark fruits and charred wood lingering. The mouthfeel is fairly wet with just a tad dryness in the end. It is an easy-drinking, light Irish Stout.

Clean, golden colour with a bubbly white cap, average stay and some soapy-bubbly lacing. Straw-caramel malt, rich and sweet aromas. Some yeast does come out after breathing. The taste is thankfully not as rich, with a nice blend of cereal malts and mild grassy hops. Not as much spiciness I was wishing for, but a decent grainy Pilsner.

Can from the LCBO. Cloudy mdium amber with a small short lived off white head that produces a bit of stringy lace. Nose has some cereal, light citrus and tropical fruit and some cardboard. Not as bright as you would expect with Citra dry hopping. Light sweet malt base with a medium citrus peel and grapefruit bitterness. Mouth is medium with average carbonation and a bitter finish. 7/3/7-/3+/13+
