--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Viscous black. Aroma of chocolate sauce and vanilla. Sticky sweet with full body and clean hard mouthfeel. Metal and chocolate sauce. Chili, custard and treacle. Peppery finish. Flawed and unpleasant from nose to finish.

Westbrook This is a Coconut Stout and You Want It 10% Lovely dark viscous black with a rusty tan head that leaves a wisp of foam. Really amazing coconut aroma. Full bodied and silky smooth with coconut and chocolate. Some heat but this is surprisingly rich smooth and mellow.

22 oz bottle. special release no barcode. Black pour with a small tan head that soon dissipates to a fine ring. The aroma is big and bold with anise, dark fruits and whiskey. The taste is very fruit forward with cherries, dates, raisins, dark chocolates, vanilla, bit of licorice, a trace of spice and some oaked booze. Very complex--reminds me of old dark lord. The palate is full and viscous. Finishes long and a tad bit sweet and cloying. Overall: Decent stuff--top shelf baby.

ABV: 10.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dusty, coffee, dark malt, sweet malt, chili, cocoa, coffee - vegetables, moderate chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, cocoa, chili, cinnamon, peppery. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20220402]
