Description
Formed in 2009 as Mitchell Krause Brewing Ltd, the beers were initially contract brewed at Hepworth, Bitter End and Hardknott. In Spring 2013 they opened their own brewery at the current location and renamed it in late 2014 inTractor Shed.

Bottle from Pennington Hotel in Ravenglass. Pours black with a thin off white head. Aroma is smoke, chocolate, coffee and roast malt with a little sourness. Taste is smoky roast malts that soften and a little chocolate and molasses sweetness on the end. Nice carbonation and a overall not too bad at all.

500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of butterscotch, faint citrus and malt. Taste is better, some helles character. Decent balance.

Bottle from Rheged. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - light orange, metal and malt bag. Taste - citrus and malt. Some soapiness. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a nice dry finish. Overall - taste better than nose.

Bottle from Rheged. Appearance - opaque black but with just a hint of a red chink. Nice fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate digestive biscuits. Taste - toffee, dark chocolate and biscuits. Some honeycomb too. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry crunchy finish. Overall - lovely stout at a session strength.

Bottle from Rheged. Appearance - hazy amber with a nice lacy head. Nose - creamy banana. Orange edge to it. Taste - more banana with toffee too. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - edges into dunkelweizen, methinks!
