750 ml bottle poured into a 3 Stars snifter. Black with 1.5 fingers of tan head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, some rye and spices. Tastes of dark chocolate, coffee, light spice. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Well masked alcohol. Very nice.

Norms Beer and Wine, Vienna Virginia 750ml: Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is farmhouse funk, plenty of spice, hints of pepper... all around very saisonesque. Taste is very spicy. The peppercorns add a little bit, but not as much as some other beers in this style. A little bit of sweetness. A spicy aftertaste this has. Not bad. I think the aroma is better than the taste.

750ml bottle pours a murky, deep brown with a ring of off white head. Nose has loads of herbal notes, cedar, candlewax, malt, some celery, a bit leathery too. Flavor has caramel, molasses, heavy herbs, mild juniper, heavy booze. Lots of carbonation too. Wrong.

4oz cask pour at ChurchKey. Poured a clear, dark brown color with a nice slightly off-white head to it. Aroma was sweet malts, nutty character and a touch of milk chocolate. Flavor was a nice rich caramel flavor with a decent amount of nuttiness and vanilla, notes of toasted coconut. Flavor had a nice roast, chocolate, and light toasted coconut. Light nutty notes, sweet milk chocolate.
