Description
Beer is our craft, but Drekker is about more than the contents of a glass. It’s about what happens when a few of those glasses get raised together. It’s about doing what you want to do, in a cool place, with people you want to be with. Drekker is about you after all. We love that you’d care enough to join us, and we can’t wait to see where this voyage goes when a couple more beers get raised together. Valhalla can wait.

We started as many breweries do; just a couple of friends brewing in a garage who loved great beer, had a crazy dream, and worked their asses off to make it come true. We won’t bore you with some long, meandering story about how we all met, or how the stars aligned for the brewery to come together. If you want to know the whole story, we’ll bore you with it in the taproom or just wait for the Lifetime movie to come out. Really, we’re just four regular guys who are serious about beer and not much else.

16 oz can. Aroma is light Raspberry / blackberry combo. Flavor has the berries with some light chalk-like peanut butter. Thick mouth, feel that was expected for the style and from this brewery. I said it before, and I’ll say it again, This tastes good, but it almost doesn’t classify as beer.

Pours a dark brown-black, with mid-sized, lasting, tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted grain, citrus, pine. Flavors all follow, with a light underlying sweetness that helps to clarify things. Absolutely delicious. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean. Smooth drinking with hardly any hop bitterness in the finish. This is a really good black IPA.

Panda thanks to Wingman. A modest haze on this gold beer, small off white head. Palate is light and semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin bodied pale malts, a modest sweetness. Light pine and a fair amount of hop spice. Thin bodied pale malts, sweet enough. Light pine. Flinty hop fruits, lemonade, a little peach, mild citrus. Light hop spicy finish. A tad dry but liked the hop fruits.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Mildly hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, a bit thin and semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin bodied pale malts but, sweet and with some mild milky sweetness. Light pine and forward hop spice. The eclectic hop selection brings a touch of ripe but bitterish lemon, ripe perfumey peach and mild tropical fruits. Light spicy hop finish. Tidy

Panda thanks to Wingman. A modest haze on this gold beer, small bubbly off white head. Light palate, thinnish and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin bodied pale malts manage a pretty modest sweetness. Light cooling pine into touches of bitterness and skunk. Fairly bright tropical fruits, rounded pineapple and a suggestion of guava. Mild hop spice on the semi dry finish. The body I find a bit meh, but the taste is good.
