Description
Brewed with spring water from Croasdale Fell, whole-leaf hops, freshly milled barley and live yeast, the Real Ales from Ennerdale have a clean, crisp taste and a dry, moreish finish. After many requests from our customers we've now introduced our range of real ale in a bottle!

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours pale gold with a short-lived white head. Aromas of stewed apple and caramel. Taste is more of the same. Not good.

Cask at Tweedies Bar, Grasmere. Deep gold with a moderate off-white head. Mild, smooth caramel with just a little lemon. Quite pleasant if a little unexciting.

Appearance: Brown colour with a beige head.
Aroma: Caramel, dark fruit.
Body: Light body, medium carbonation.
Flavour: Caramel, coffee, roasted malt.

Bottled. Clear mahogany colour, small head. Caramel and grass up front. Dry with light body and clean, crisp mouthfeel, Coffee, biscuits and caramel. Ashy bitterish finish.

Bottle bought at Tebay Services on the M6. Medium brown with a hint of red and big, frothy off-white head. A malty beer, with brown sugar, some chocolate fudge, roasted malts and a decent, bitter finish. An enjoyable beer.

Blonde ale that is dry, light in character and fairly weak, but still drinkable.
