Pours a rich mahogany from a bottle, light khaki colored foamy head. Caramel, yeast, clove aroma. Similar flavor but rich esters present, effervescent, initial sweetness offset by rising bitterness. Very good beer.

Fairly clean, light golden-yellow colour with a big frothy white head, good retention and some foamy patches of lacing. Sweet malt nose with some wheat notes of bananas and hints of herbal hops that do help. These hops do help even more in the taste. Pear flavours with enough dryness to cut the sweet malts. The bananas are still present, but really not offensive (oversweet) like the nose gives out to be. This aroma sweetness does calm down with time, and a little haze appears. Quite a nice light Trappist ale.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a creamy lager malt with a nice fruity yeast ester. Flavor is about the same. A rich creamy dry almost lager malt with some fruit ester and very herbal hop notes. Pretty good low abv Belgian.

Can’t believe I’ve never checked this one in. Lovely grain forward classic funnel. Bit of banana, clove, dried fruits.

Bottle. Hazy yellow with a big white head, dissipates fairly quick. Nose and taste of hay, herbs, bread and fruit, medium bitterness, sharp bubbles. Very well balanced, like a tiny Tripel of theirs.
