Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, some nutty notes, touch of cacao. Moderate to medium sweet with a light bitterness. Medium body. Good Brown.

Can from a Short's holiday variety pack at Jewel/Osco. The pour shows some cloudiness amid the black. In the glass, it kicks up a thick head of foam, not quite like a Guinness cascade. A light cocoa nose. And I think I do get a small whiff of marshmallow. Taste has more malt roastiness than its smell suggests, but no harshness. A pretty nice overall impression. There is a note of alcohol coming in. Turns out better than the other Short's beers in this holiday pack.

Pours near black with a small tan head. It smells very roasty with some chocolate. The flavor is big on dark roasted malt. There’s coffee and chocolate. The body could be more robust, but this is a solid, very roasty porter

12 ounce can, 1/2/25. Hazy amber, not much head, DId I miss it? Aroma of peach, oatmeal, pale malt. Taste is peach, pomegranate, sour. Well balanced.

From holiday mixed 12-pack at Jewel/Osco. Starts out on the good foot with a cranberry orange nose while pouring. Slightly hazy brass color under a sudsy head. Smell in the glass is a bit more like Fanta orange, and there is a touch of spice. Taste, though, is somewhat… off. Perhaps that's the cranberry tartness piled on top of the sour beer base. But something else seems to have turned here.

Part of a holiday pack from Jewel. Over foams when I popped the tab, but I kept it under control. Head ends up sudsy along the sides of the glass. Light hazy gold. Nose is a bit corny or adjuncty like a mega-brewed lager.
Taste does offer a bit of a different hop palate, but it's still kind of got too much corn or other adjunct sweetness.

Can from a holiday variety pack. Slightly hazy gold color, kicks up a lot of foam at the start. Smell is your basic IPA, with good bitterness. Taste is pretty standard. Might do with a little more malt, but it kinds of sits right on the style.
