Bottle from Deya shop Burton-on-Trent Wasn’t holding out much hope for this one, but was very pleasantly surprised. Nose is dominated by molasses with a hint of liquorice (thanks Erika). Pours a very dark red with a slightly beigish head. At the front of the mouth this is full of dark fruits, raspberries and treacle. But then as the liquid reaches the back of the throat it turns into a chilli-like hotness which gives a lasting warming finish. Very nice indeed - possibly the best Latvian beer that I’ve actually bought in England.

50cl bottle from SuperAlko by the Estonian Latvian border. Pours clear pink with a small pinkish head. Sweet, candy like cherry aroma that reminds me of Haribo Cherries. Somehow drinkable.

Klar lys gylden med hvitt skum. Aroma malt epke humle korn. Smak humle eple. Fylde men kort, kjipt øl. Boks kjøpt på XLyngen mens Tottenham og Liverpool spiller fotball. Håper kampen blir bedre enn ølet

There are several colors of it, and i think they are same. Smell- weak, smoke or hops, yeast maybe. Foam- thin, soft, weak bitter notes and some hops. head quite large and white, sticky. Appearance- clear orange amber, some carbontion. Taste- bitter-sweet, caramel notes and citrus, sweet finish. Maybe I am thirsty but this feels better than average.
