50cl bottle from SuperAlko, Ainaži. Pours dark brown to mahogany coloured with a modest, slightly tanned head. Bready and kvass-like with dark rye bread aromas dominating. Sweet, malty and surprisingly thin mouthfeel. Somewhat interesting and fairly drinkable.

50cl bottle from SuperAlko, Ainaži. Pours slightly hazy yellow to golden, with a white head. Grainy and slighty grassy with hints of citrus peel and ripe fruits. Moderate to medium sweet with fairly low flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Fair enough.

Can from Lituanica, Birmingham. Pours a cola brown colour, brief fizzy head, no retention. Looks like a soft drink. Aroma is a sickly sweet raisin, brown sugar and toffee malt concoction. Dreading it. Taste is like aroma but not as discusting as I feared. It's still like a bad soft drink. Couldn't finish it.

Big can at home in Hackney - picked up from Mama Nasha. Pours mostly clear, rich orange-hold with a frothy, eggshell cap. Light-medium sweet flavour with hearty bready malts, a nip of toasted honey and caramel, faint husky bitterness, biscuit, straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Moderately sweet and bready to finish, sun-baked hay. Enjoyable.

500ml can pours out pale straw topped with a white head. Nose is sweet grain corn notes and some grass. Taste is more of the sweet grain malts grass touch.

12/8/2024. Bottle. Pours clear golden with a lasting frothy pure white head. Decent pour. Aroma is malty, grains, sugar syrup, sweetcorn, light fruity notes. Very sweet with light to moderate bitterness and body. Average carbonation. Sticky sweet finish. Much too sweet for my liking.
