Can from an Eastern European minimart in Brandon, Suffolk. Low key grassy aroma, with standard lager notes. Light gold. Bubbly. Scant white head. Initial bitter hit. Carries on in a sour fashion. However there is a saccharine sweetness hanging about. Light bodied and thin textured. Carbonation is fizzy but not overly so. Abrupt finish. Standard lager. Doesn’t overdo the sweetness or taste too chemically.

Can from an Eastern European shop in Brandon, Suffolk. Smells of Dark rye bread and honey. Appearance of cola. Sugary sweet, with an umami rye element making an appearance towards the finish. Light bodied. Thin with a sticky edge. Lively carbonation. Abrupt finish. A refreshing summer drink. It’s not pretending to be a beer, unlike some crappy low alcohol beers.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear amber with a small, off-white head. Very neutral, you really have to take a deep sniff to get anything, and what you get is rather like.....glue. Medium body, sweet caramellish, a little breadish and toffeeish with hardly any hops at all. A straight, commercial beer. 160617

50cl bottle at a Teahouse in Riga. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with an off-white head. Slightly fruity, but mostly grainy aroma with mild grassy notes, hints of honey and yeast. Medium sweets with slightly fairly mild flavours, not too pleasant, but more interesting than the filtered ones. Meh! --- Beer merged from original tick of Brūža Nefiltrētais on 24 May 2017 at 20:36 - Score: 4

Beers of the World country 61: Latvia 🇱🇻
"The beer is light yellow in colour with a well carbonated foam head. The taste is rather boring and standard lager. Slightly malty taste but as the name suggests it is very light. Another one that falls in the category of being very close to water…" - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com
