500ml Bottle - Dark brown in colour with red tinges. Spicy and lightly fruity aroma with cinnamon and cloves. Spicy taste which is fairly rich. Cinnamon and cloves feature again along with nutmeg, followed by a sweet, fruity and spicy finish.

2l Bottle - Dark golden in colour. Grainy aroma with some sweet honey hints. Sweetish taste with malt, grain and more honey hints. It seems strange as this beer supposedly does not contain any honey (according to the Cesu site) yet the taste and the bee depicted on the label suggests otherwise. Perhaps it is artificial honey. Not bad though.

Medium yellowish beige head. Deep ambery red body. Roasty malty raisin aroma with spicy licorice and papery fruit notes. Dry-sweet light roasty licorice taste with papery raisin notes. Mid-bodied, clean palate. Quite light in taste. Dry spicy peppery papery aftertaste. Earthy notes linger. Can tell that it’s been stored a while. Very nice, mild and drinkable. (0.5l bottle from KnutAlbert.)

Bottle, 5%. Clear dark golden colour. Small white head. The flavour seems a little oxidized even though it is not past BB date. Slightly sweet and vinous. Also quite rubbery.
