Dark orange pour with a dirty head and nice lacing. Smells malty and piney, and the taste follows through, with a nice makty sweetness mixed with a resinous bitterness. Medium body and a bittersweet finish. I found this quite enjoyable.

Can @ derat, large sample. Slight hazy amber color, short frothy head. Aroma of some grapefruit, lemon grass, cookie malt. Soft bitterness, quite some malty sweetness. Dont know how fresh it is, but it seems to go towards a malty ipa with not a lot of fresh hoppiness around. Ok.

Poured from a bottle courtesy of the Yeti’s. Aroma is rich and chocolate forward with some lighter roast, caramel and toffee notes. Light bourbon with hints of vanilla and almond. A hint of anise and dark fruits. Pours a light black with some dark brown hues and a large, moderateky thick and rocky mocha head that recedes into itself fairly quickly. Light lacing and moderateky long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with a fairly strong and rich chocolate note. Some light roast and caramel. Medium light dark fruit notes. Moderate bitterness. Light bourbon with lighter oak notes. Hints of vanilla and almonds from the oak. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied and somewhat sticky with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low to medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a very chocolate forward beer with nice characteristics from the bourbon barrels. Alcohol is present, but the beer isn’t hot. Good, thick mouthfeel with a lot of chocolate notes. Perhaps too chocolate forward for me.

Draft at Beer Temple. Pours slight hazy amber with a big off white head. Aroma of orange, kind of soft like those slightly fake orange juice drinks, with citrus and light malt. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Light to light medium bodied with a watery juice drink palate and soft carbonation.

Bomber from 2014 I think. Dark, almost black color. Beige head with short retention. Strong aroma of sweet chocolate, with some vanilla, light wood. Retronasal it’s sweet, chocolate, light booze (bourbon perhaps). Flavor is rather sweet, chocolate-y. Not too strong alcohol feel, though it is warming a bit. Good body, medium to full. Finishes with cocoa, light roast. Good desert beer.
