Solid porter. Body of sweetish malt, brown and coffee I think. Notes of mocca, cacao and a bit milk. Nice.

Deep dark brown colour. Quite a sweet aroma with lots of choclately malts and a touch of toast. Texture is rich, smooth and oily. Bittersweet roasted cocoa with a slight hop bitterness in the background.

Tap at the 2014 OBF as Caldera Toasted Coconut Porter at 6.2%. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has lots of chocolate and clearly coconut. Med+ body. Flavor is chocolate and arguably coconut. Dark malt. Finishes a bit sweet, but all the chocolate helps with that.

12 oz can from De Bierkoning @ home on this very hot day. Nice to have some very affordable US craftbrew in NL. Amber color, hazy. Off white, rocky & sticky head. Aroma’s: upon opening the can strong resin, which quickly makes way for red fruit & caramel malts. Retronasal there’s caramel, (red) fruit, hoppy acidity and the resin is coming back!. Flavor is moderate sweet and rather bitter. Medium bodied, good carbo. Finishes with a lasting, dry, firm bitterness. The weather called for a more crisp (less sweet) ipa, but still very nice!

65 cl bottle @ olio
Aroma is rather sweet with sugary tones and fruity hops. Also some weird dough and toffee notes. Flavour has toffee, some gooseberry bush, grapefruit and hints of caramel. Feels British. A musty disappointment and does not feel as hoppy as I thought.
